Slimline Card using Poinsettia Place Suite

Hello and Welcome!  Today's project is continuing to use the Poinsettia Place Suite as found in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue on Pages 14 - 16.  I chose to do a Slimline card and used the Red Velvet paper for the poinsettia - so pretty!  And velvety of course!

I started with a Whisper White card base of 7" x 11", scored at 3-1/2".  I then layered a piece of Garden Green measuring 6-3/4" x 10-3/4".  I used a sheet of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (part of the product suite) measuring 6-1/2" x 10-1/2".  Make sure that when you are gluing this layer down to use tombow and wipe it completely over the back of this paper layer, otherwise you will be able to see your glue lines as you can in my project.  I cut the poinsettia itself using the embossed dies (I did not stamp and die cut, just die cut) out of the red velvet paper and the center and leaves are cut using the gold foil sheets.  The branches are die cut out of Garden Green to coordinate with the Garden Green layer.  I stamped the Merry Christmas in Real Red on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then used the Banner Triple punch on one end.

This is a very traditional looking card.  It's hard to see in the picture, but the petals of the poinsettia are nicely embossed as are the leaves.
