Life is Beautiful Thank You Card

Hello!  Welcome to today's post - it's a Thank You card!  Bet you thought it was going to be a Christmas card lol!  I've had lots of thank you's that had to be sent out this week.  For this card, I could visualize the dark outline of a tree with a few leaves still attached and then I could see the colours of a beautiful sunrise or sunset as the background.  I tried using the sponge daubers and ink for my first attempt, but I wasn't happy with the outcome.  Not sure if it was the texture I didn't like or maybe my colour choices, but I wasn't pleased with it.  Next I pulled out my trusty Stampin' Blends and just ran strokes across the page until I was happy with the colour.  I'm kind of wishing I had gone a little bit less colour in some spots, but I'm happier with this card.  I then stamped the image of the tree and the leaves from the Life is Beautiful stamp set in black memento ink.  And if you do what I did, you will need to strategically place your sentiment as when you stamped your tree image there may have been some excess black ink that found it's way onto the bottom left of your nearly finished card.  Aargh!  Hence, the thank you oval placed to the very far left to cover up a little ink mishap.

It was missing something, so I blinged it up a little bit with the Champagne rhinestones.  The base of the card is Very Vanilla and then there is a layer of Cherry Cobbler between the card base and the image layer.  I think it turned out pretty nice, seeing as how I had no ideas when I first started making this card.  Thank you for looking!
