Simple Fancy Fold using Artistry Blooms

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by!  Today I want to share with you a beautiful card I made for my Grandma's birthday, which was today.  She loves purple, so I always try to incorporate different shades of purple into her cards.  The Artistry Blooms Suite certainly made this easy as it coordinates with so many different colours, including various shades of purple.

If you're not sure what the Artistry Blooms Suite is, let me take a quick moment to tell you!  It lives on pg. 130 of the Annual Catalogue.  It includes the Hand-Drawn Blooms bundle (both stamp set and dies), the beautiful Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper - I love how versatile this paper is because of the different patterns and the many colours that it coordinates with, the gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer Paper (if you have not ordered this yet, do yourself a favour and order it but only if you like bold colours and sparkly things!) and the Artistry Blooms Sequins (they are self-adhesive, which I love!).

I want to start off by saying that this is not my design, I did case this card, but unfortunately I can't find my source, so I apologize to the designer and I will give you credit when I find your original design again.  I started with a Rich Razzleberry for the base and then pulled one of the coordinating patterns from the Designer Series Paper and added it to the side and corner of my card.  I do have a Whisper White layer on the inside.

For the flap of this card, I started with a Rich Razzleberry base and then layered it with Whisper White.  I used the top part of the big die in the Banner Blooms Die Set and cut it out of the Rainbow Glimmer paper.  I only wanted the purple tones, so I placed my die in the purple-blue-ish area of the paper.  I did use my adhesive sheets again to make it easy for me to glue the flowers onto the Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Blackberry Bliss from the Hand-Drawn Blooms Stamp Set.  I then added a few of the self-adhesive sequins to give it a bit of bling and to finish off my card.

What do you think?  I think it turned out pretty good and Grandma was delighted with it, so that's all that matters!  Also, I'm loving how my pictures are not so dark.  My sweetheart bought me a photo box for my birthday (I think he wanted his light back lol!).  It makes my life sooo much easier as I'm not having to juggle the camera and the light to get better pictures!
