Notecards and Lovely You Stamp Set

Hello!  Can you believe it's September already?  I love Fall because of the colours and my birthday is this month, but I'm really not a big fan of winter.  Don't get me wrong I love the different seasons, I just wish winter was a short season like our summers lol!  Anyways, you didn't drop by to listen to me ramble on about the changing of the seasons.  Today's project features the Lovely You Bundle and I made these adorable notecards with it!

I used colours from Stampin' Up!'s Brights collection for this project - Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Gorgeous Grape.  What I absolutely LOVE about Stampin' Up! is that you can easily change your colour scheme and choose a different image from the Lovely You Stamp Set and Ta-Dah! you have notecards for fall, winter or spring by using colours from our Regals, Neutrals or Subtles colour collections.

These notecards are 3x3 and the card bases are Whisper White and the images and sentiments are stamped on Whisper White as well.  I used my Stampin' Markers to colour the image right on the stamp itself (that's how I was able to get the different colours on the one image.  You just huff on the stamp once you finish colouring it and it moistens the stamp and you can just stamp your image then).

You can 't see it from the pictures, but the squares are stitched along the edges.  Once I stamped the images, I then used my Stitched Shapes dies and cut out the squares.  I dry embossed the coloured cardstock using a retired embossing folder that could easily be substituted for our current Greenery Embossing Folders (and the best part is you get 2 of them in the pack!).

Again, I used a retired punch to cut out my sentiments, but the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch would work beautifully on this project as well.  I made these notecards to sell at the Stony Plain Farmers Market, so I use everything I own to come up with new, fresh projects to sell every 2 weeks and I try to get the most out of some of my favourites that Stampin' Up! has sadly retired (to make room for new favourites of course!)

I also stamped the corner of each of the little envelopes so that it coordinates with one of the cards.  To finish it off, I placed all 5 of them in a mini pizza box (such a great way to package the notecards) and sell them as a gift set!

Want to make a set of these adorable notecards for yourself or to give as a cute gift?  Please click on any of the images in the Supply List below and it will take you directly to my online store where you can shop for all of Stampin' Up!'s current products.  And don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack - it's been recently updated with new retired items and you get them at bargain prices!

And if you are ever in the area, pop by the Stony Plain Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9 to 1 and say hello.  I'm there every other week, just check my Events page to see when I'm there!  I would love to see you!
