Forever Fern Gift Bag

Hello!  For today's post, I went with a more traditional approach to the Forever Ferns bundle and used the green tones.  I think this stamp set is so gorgeous because of the detail when you stamp the different leaf images.  I guess this is why it is classified as "Distinktive".

I cased this design by Sherry Roth, cutting 1" x 6" strips of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper and adhering them to the front of a plain white gift bag in a staggered pattern.  I then stamped my different leaf images in Shaded Spruce, Garden Green and Just Jade and used the coordinating dies in the Forever Fern bundle and cut them out using my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (replaced the Big Shot).  I also cut out a couple of accent pieces in Shaded Spruce and Blushing Bride.  I ran the Soft Sea Foam layer through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Old World 3D Embossing Folder.  Not sure the picture really does it justice, but in person the detail of the embossing folder is very apparent.  I also stamped the sentiment on a Whisper White piece of cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink and cut it out with the 2nd smallest circle in the Stitched Shapes dies.  If you don't have this set of dies, it comes in so handy when you want to pop up your larger greetings or sentiments as it gives you lots of options and the stitched edging is so pretty.

I then adhered my Soft Sea Foam cardstock (4" x 5-1/4") to a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock (4-1/4" x 5-1/2" - the same size as a regular card).  I then arranged my leaf die cuts and greeting where I wanted them and attached them with Stampin' dimensionals.  If you wanted to, you could easily convert this into a card by adhering your Soft Sea Foam layer to a piece of folded cardstock (measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and folded in the center for a regular card).  You could then adhere a clear envelope to the front of the gift bag and you've got a gift bag and greeting card all in one neat little package!
